Dr. Shaul (Saveliy) Dudakov:

Dr. Dudakov was born in 1939 in Leningrad (today’s St. Petersburg), where he survived the siege of Leningrad. He moved to Israel in 1971, where he was a true man of letters, beloved by all. Dr. Dudakov was also a chess master, who played several times in the Israel Championship. As a chess player, Dudakov was a bold tactician and a tenacious defender, who thrived on dynamic play and prefered black (“like my life”).

The October 2022 FIDE standard ratings will be used; players without a FIDE rating will be rated by their national rating. As the tournament is thematic, the games will be unrated.
The registration fee is 100 NIS, half-price for soldiers, pensioners from age 65, and IMs. Players with GM titles may enter for free on condition of registration up to 48 hours in advance.

In the event of three or more players tying for first place, the top two will be determined by tie-break, in the following order of priority, and will enter the play-off described above:

• Sonneborn-Berger
• Number of won games
